Improper discard of toxic drugs hurts environment, leads to fines

On page 1578, the first full sentence should read as follows: A substance with an oral LD50 of ge500 mg per kilogram of animal weight is defined as hazardous when discarded. Also on page 1578, in the section "Help is available," paragraph 5 should read as follows: Zimmer said health care ranks, in many states, as the third or fourth highest contributor of mercury to the environment.
