Sponsoring a Supplement to AJHP
Sole-sponsored supplemental issues of AJHP may be purchased for $ 96,750 (for any supplement 32 pages or less). One-half payment ($48,375) is required as soon as the papers have been accepted for publication. The balance will be invoiced upon mailing of the supplement. This fee applies to all supplements published between June 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010 and covers all editing, composition, and printing; supplement cover in addition to the text pages, with second color on cover 1 and nothing printed on covers 2,3, and 4; and mailing 35,769 copies to all ASHP members, second-class in a plastic bag with the regular issue of AJHP. The pricing for supplements longer than 32 pages is as follows:
- 40 pages - $108,775
- 48 pages - $120,950
- 56 pages - $133,000
- 64 pages - $145,100
Additional copies or overruns of the supplement may be purchased and these orders should be made in writing prior to printing the supplement. Articles considered for supplements are peer-reviewed by the manuscript development editors. Supplement guest editors are also expected to exercise responsibility in ensuring that the papers submitted are balanced and publishable. A publication date can be projected when the manuscripts are accepted. Typically, the supplement is published three to four months after acceptance of manuscripts.

Once a decision is made to submit a supplement to AJHP, the following items should be sent to AJHP editorial staff prior to manuscript submission.
- Faculty list
- Content outline
- Proposed supplement title
- Targeted date for submission
- Needs assessment and/or grant letter/proposal
- Primary contact name and address, phone, email
