ASHP is the largest national organization of hospital and health-system pharmacists, with nearly 35,000 members. As an ASHP member, you’re part of an organization that shapes the future by helping pharmacists improve medication use and enhance patient safety. You join with other members in one strong, national voice. Your membership includes a free subscription to the print version of AJHP, delivered twice a month, as well as online access to tables of contents, full text searching and display, document delivery, PDF’s, links to Medline and much more. Join ASHP
If your institution has a print subscription, it will be eligible to have an electronic version of the journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.
If your institution does not have a print subscription, it cannot get an electronic version of American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.
Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future. At some time, the paper and electronic versions may be available as separate subscriptions.
ASHP Members receive free subscriptions to Am J Health-Syst Pharm, providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal. Members may also have access to Am J Health-Syst Pharm Online through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. The special member services are not available to non-member subscribers, and full-text access from off of the institution's network (e.g. home access) is not available.
You may wish to apply for ASHP membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which provides access to the electronic version. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
Information about ASHP Membership is available at the ASHP website.
