1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

   AJHP subscribers can use their ASHP ID# (8-digit number on the left-hand side of the AJHP's mailing label) as the login name and their last name (first letter capitalized) as their password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

2. What if I forget my password?

3. I’m not a member of ASHP. Should I join or choose an Individual (Non-Member) Subscription?

   If you are a pharmacist working in a hospital or health-system, you should consider joining ASHP. When you join ASHP, you join with nearly 35,000 other members in one strong, national voice that shapes the future by helping pharmacists improve medication use and enhance patient safety. Your membership includes a free subscription to the print version of AJHP, delivered twice a month, as well as online access to tables of contents, full text searching and display, document delivery, PDF’s, links to Medline and much more. If you’re not interested in ASHP membership, you can still purchase an Individual Subscription to AJHP.

4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

   If your institution has a print subscription, it will be eligible to have an electronic version of the journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

   If your institution does not have a print subscription, it cannot get an electronic version of Am J Health-Syst Pharm. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

5. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

   Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future.

6. Who is eligible for an Individual (Non-Member) and a Member Subscription?

   Individual (Non-Member) subscriptions are available to those who do not wish to join the Society. They are provided with a paper and electronic version of the journal. ASHP Members receive free subscriptions to Am J Health-Syst Pharm, providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal. Members and Non-Members may also have access to Am J Health-Syst Pharm Online through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. The special member services are not available to non-member subscribers, and full-text access from off of the institution's network (e.g. home access) is not available.

7. How can I access Am J Health-Syst Pharm Online if I am not an ASHP member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

   You may wish to apply for ASHP membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which provides access to the electronic version. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
